PÄÄ-HEAD

A western individual living in a society dominated by media performs, observes and communicates through ready-made and produced images. Still somewhere deep inside of us exists an inclination to historical, archaic and animistic.

PÄÄ-HEAD is a bundle of exercises that asks in which areas of an individual communication, life and Eros are located? The work starts with a statement that communication, life and Eros are mutually connected with memory and simultaneous construction and destruction of meanings.
The work happens in two rooms.
Together the rooms mean deconstruction of self, rearrangement of self.
The first room is destruction of self, unravelling the self.
The second room is reconstruction of self, constructing the self.

The material of the second room contains recollections of my previous works. This material can be thought as a kind of an autobiography or memory.
