Productions Uhri - Sacre Uhri - Sacre is a new interpretation by choreographer Sanna Kekäläinen of V. Nijinsky’s and Igor Stravinsky’s co-creation Rite of Spring. It develops a dialogue between the contemporary world and the classic composition from the conceptual point of view of sacrifice. The piece asks the questions like what is the meaning of sacrifice in human discourse and why there is an eternal need for a scapegoat in human society? The work consists of two parts which are approaching the theme from different esthetical angles. One part is dealing Stravinsky's Rite of Spring with the female body - the other part enters the world of children.
